South Indian Train Omlette

Train journey is such an fascination, particularly when you do long distance travel, where you get to enjoy different cultures and food from state to state. Back in India, when you travel through Southern Railways, you had to have this egg omlette they make, they call it “Bread Omlette” or “2 minute Omlette”, as the name implies it just takes 2 mins to make it. I bet you the taste beats any conventional omlette you cook at home.

Here is my “South Indian Train Omlette” as a virtual treat.

Asian Penny wort for lunch Today

Had Asian Penny wort for lunch today, after a gap of 8 years. Everyone should try it out once in a while, at least for its medicinal properties.

Medicinal uses: Penny wort is used for purifying the blood and curing nervous conditions and is said to be ‘good for the eyes’. It is also one of the herbs used in tonics to improve the memory. Eating 2 leaves each day is said to relieve the pain of arthritis and it is sold in plant nurseries as ‘the arthritis herb’.
