Every six months a list of the top 500 fastest number-crunching computers is issued by the University of Tennessee and the University of Mannheim. Here is the current one.
The list also represents total number of Supercomputers used in the world today, as the chart below depicts India has 11 or 2.2% share of the World’s Supercomputer.
India’s position in the list is 141 – Semiconductor Company, 151 – Geoscience, 159, 198,199,212,213, 255 – Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology, 287,344,373 respectively.
