India’s Satellite Based Surveillance and Reconnaissance (SBS) system is near completion and will be completed by Jan 2007 end. once fully-operational, it will allow them to keep closer tabs on troop
movements, missile silos, military installations and airbases of
neighbouring countries, as well as augment surveillance over Indian
airspace.
India has its own spy satellites and uses most of the remote sensing satellites for satellite based
imaging , additionally it uses feeds from Russian and Israel satellites.

Thailand’s Nok Air is hiring girls to hold personal digital assistants (PDAs) that are used to help check-in passengers that only have carry-on bags.

PDA’s are comparitively cheap and is very efficient and you don’t need to invest in self service check-in’s.
Some of the private Indian Airlines can learn the trick and save costs.
